A Word From The Skipper

All the boys and the management team are loving being back in competitive action, it’s what we have trained hard for in the pre season.

The game against Handsworth in the FA Vase was a great performance, we dominated possession and played some great football in spells. To win the game and to be in the next round was the aim, we eagerly await the next game against Ashton Athletic here as it is a competition we really want to do well in.

On Tuesday night we faced a physical Maltby Main side on their own patch, it was a different challenge and one that the lads stood up to well, we got the league campaign off to a good start coming away with 3 points in a 2-1 win.

Maltby is a difficult place to go to especially on a Tuesday night, we weathered their early storm but our fitnes and quality saw us come from behind to win.

We now move on to todays opponents Barton Town and we aim to carry on the momemtum and hopefully win our first home league game this season.

UP THE SEDGE!
