From The Boardroom

Good afternoon everyone, I would like to offer a warm welcome to todays opponents Barton Town and obviously our own supporters new and old alike.

Let’s hope todays game as in the past has plenty of entertainment and also plenty of goals.

As you may have seen the club is trying very hard to work alongside bodies such as Kirklees Council, The FA, and The West Riding County FA to make sure we have a safe as possible COVID 19 environment.

The committee and especially Jeanette (COVID 19 Officer) have been writing risk assessments then adapting them again, putting the hours in to put the notices up around the ground. So a massive thankyou to all those people.

On the social media team I would like to make a warm welcome to Claire and Harrison who have added a vast amount of experience and ability to promote the club in ways that we have been crying out for in the past.

Watch out for regular updates via Twitter, Facebook and a new soon to be launched Liversedge website.

We also have a new match day secretary Ralph. Ralph has brought from working at Ossett Town and Nostell MW some great experience in matchday programme design to work alongside James. You may have already seen it launched at the Handsworth game with “Rimmos Rant” providing the headlines, it’s well worth a pound of anyones cash.

Alongside all these additions we now have our own junior section, providing football in the community after we joined up with Cleckheaton Sporting juniors. The junior section will be playing some games at Clayborn, so why not come along when possible and cheer the future Joe Walton’s alike on.

All in all it has been a very busy close season for the club and we are very thankful as we have not yet come through this difficult time for us all, but do you know what?…..we will.

All the very best to the players, coaches and managers today.

UP THE SEDGE

DARREN ATTWOOD
SECRETARY
LIVERSEDGE FC
