Liversedge complete double swoop for Dearnley and Heaton

Liversedge FC are pleased to announce the signings of goalkeeper Max Dearnley and centre-back Niall Heaton.

Dearnley joins on loan from Huddersfield Town to provide much-needed cover for Jordan Porter.

The young shot stopper signed for the Terriers’ B team in August 2021 after impressing for Ossett United. Still only 23, he has already represented Emley, FC Halifax Town, Scarborough Athletic and Penistone Church in non-league.

Joining Dearnley is the long-awaited signing of former Bradford City centre-back Niall Heaton.

Niall was a highly-rated youngster and represented England Schoolboys as well as playing for Liverpool FC’s academy.

He moved back to West Yorkshire with the Bantams in 2013 before playing in non-league with Alfreton, Nuneaton, and Guiseley.

Niall was preparing to join Liversedge for our FA Vase campaign last season but unfortunately took a long term injury. Having recovered from injury, he is now ready to sign a deal with the club which has been almost a year in the making.
