Goole kicked off towards the railway end, it was Sedge who went on attack first when Porritt sent Fearon away down the right, but the ball ran too long and went for a goal kick. Two minutes later a long ball from the Sedge defence found Fearon who was just caught offside. A cross from Tasker of Goole was easily caught by Porter in goal.

Good work from Porritt and Walker ended with a shot from Hardacre that caused no problems for Zaniewski in the Goole goal. On 9 minutes Sedge looked as though they had taken the lead, a corner from Walker found Walton but his header hit the bar, two minutes later Fearon was cautioned for kicking the ball out of the keepers hands. Sedge were looking for the first goal and both O’Niell and Pattinson for Goole cleared from Porritt. Tasker and Henderson combined well for Goole on the left but Porter in goal rushed out to clear and when the home side had a free kick in a good position Parker failed to get on the end of the cross from Dacre. Sedge scored on 27 minutes when Raw’s shot was blocked, the ball fell to Walker who made no mistake scoring.

Liversedge replaced Daley for Kenny after suffering an injury. In the 4th minute of added time in first half Sedge were almost caught out in defence when Parker latched on to a long ball but his attempt to lob Porter saw the ball come back off the bar.

The 2nd half in teeming rain saw Sedge a different side playing some good passing football and on 53 minutes they scored a 2nd when a cross from Walker on the left found Fearon at the far post who headed into the net. A minute later it was 3-0, good work from Fearon and Raw ended with Walton beating the oncoming Zaniewski in the Goole goal. Josh Schofield for Goole had a shot go well over the bar and on 62 minutes it was 4-0 to Sedge, Fearon latched on to a long kick from Porter in goal, he played the ball on for Alfie Raw who made no mistake. Bottomley then came on for Fearon. Goole found it hard to gain any momentum and when Henderson crossed from the left and Parker stumbled it summed their day up.

new signing Flynn came on for the injured Steers and 4 minutes later Walton got his 2nd goal with a powerful header. Good team work from Sedge on 84 minutes gave Flynn the chance to score which he duly obliged, Goole then brought on Stewart for Coates as the game drew to a close.
