The ‘Padge’ Bench

The ‘Padge’ Bench

At the weekend, we had the “Padge” bench installed at the ground in memory of Callum Padgett.

Callum, a local lad, played for Sedge and other clubs in the Liversedge area. He was well-loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. “Padge” would come and watch Sedge as often as he could, and we were honoured to hold a charity game during the summer to raise awareness of Callum’s passing. Part of the game was fundraising for Andy’s Man Club, and through the generosity of everyone who attended the event, a bench to remember “Padge” was made.

Woody (Andrew Wood), one of Callum’s best friends, came down to the ground to officially open the bench. “We were very grateful for Liversedge putting on the charity day for Padge, and now all his family and friends can still come here and enjoy a pint with him on the Padgebench.”

On Friday, the 2nd of February, Callum’s two boys, Roman and Ablie, came to see their Daddy’s bench.

Rest in Peace, Callum.

It’s okay to talk.
